Garceta Azul - Little Blue Heron

Esta bella garza es completamente blanca de
joven, y mientras hacen la transición su plumaje
es bellamente jaspeado. Esto yo no lo sabía, y
la primera vez que vi uno así, tarde mucho
tiempo en identificarlo. Incluso llegué a pensar
que había visto algún extraño mutante.

This pretty heron is completely white as a
juvenile, and during the transition its plumage
can be beautifully marbled. I did not know this,
and the first time I saw one like that it took me a
long time to identify it, and thought that I had
perhaps seen some strange mutant.
