Petition to prohibit the massive capture and release of sea turtle hatchlings in Mexico
In
response to the numerous complaints we have received with regard to the handling
of hatchling at Sea Turtle Festivals in some areas of Mexico, Mexiconservación
has initiated a petition to call on the federal authorities to prohibit this
type of release and establish regulations with regard to sea turtle protection
efforts and sea turtle tourism, to determine once and for all what activities
are permissible when dealing with these endangered species. To read the
